Fender Jazz 'Delux' using Texalium
Texalium Composit
Texalium is a reinforced material based on glass fabrics.  Aluminum is applied through a special treatment of the glass fabric.  Through this special treatment you get a unique and shiny surface.
The Texalium Composite used by CMK Pickguards is a custom material made for our products, and is not available to the general public.  Only highest grade materials are used in this Composite's manufacture.
MGS Epoxy's give material its glass 3D finish and aluminous prismatic glow, within a 3K Twill weave.  Currently we use a thickness of .055" & .100" for general and exact applications.
Each picture on this page is Texalium.  As you can quickly see all shots are somewhat different given it's refractive quality.  Only by personal sight can you truly appreciate the stunning brilliance of this material.
Q:  Why are composite materials more
expensive than Guards made of traditional
materials ?
There are three primary reasons for this:

1. All primary raw materials are
expensive.

2. Construction of each composite sheet is
complex, with many materials used to produce a final sheet.

3. Construction of each sheet is labor intensive and must be done by a skilled composite technician. There is no way for machinery to build the composites we use.  Our guard material is made to exact specifications and not available to the general public except through us.  From time to time we release 'Fall-Off' pieces form manufacture. If you have a small project and require sizes from 1"x1" to approx. 6"x6" please contact us for current status.  Larger sizes are also available.
